The Cagiva motorbike brand is one of Italian motorbike brand wich place in a little town named Schirana in the Milan suburb. 

 

This brand seen the light of day in 1950 by the creator Giovanni Castiglioni.

At the beginning of his creation, Cagiva was meant to made a metal piece.

 

Knowing that Mr Castglioni was a great fan of motorbike tournament, he decided to make his passion his job. So, he decided to buy factory back named AMF Harley Davidson which are located also in Schirana. 

 

In 1993, Giovanni sign an agreement with other famous brand, Ducati, with regard to the production of motorbike engine.

 

At this time, Cagiva were in real good health, it's cause of that if Giovanni will buy many brands like Ducati, Mv Agusta and many others which became part of the Cagiva family. 

 

The Cagiva business supply also some model of motorbike for the army like the 350 T4 will do the Gulf War.

 

In 1992, Cagiva decidr to buy the MV Agusta brand back. 

In 1993, a collaboration begin with a Czech motorbike brand, named CZ, so that made motorbike like CZ Jawa or also the Cagiva Roadster 521,125 cm³. This collaboration expired in 1997 because of the difficulties meeted by Cagiva. 

 

In 1996, Ducati and Morini motorbike will be buyed to TPG, hence his whole name Texas Pacific Group. 

 

In 1997, the Cagiva group production became MV Agusta. It contained brands like MV Agusta and Husqvama. 

 

Finally, it's in 2008 that Harley Davidson, INC buy the MV Agusta business, then resell it to Claudio Castiglioni on August 6, 2010.
