YAMAHA
Brand
YAMAHAYamaha was founded in 1887 by Torakusu Yamaha. After an apprenticeship in watchmaking, he worked in medical equipment and later in organ repair. It was there that he decided to launch his own musical instrument brand. However, he passed away in 1916, and the company was taken over by Nippon Gakki.
During the war, the company was forced to stop producing musical instruments and shifted to manufacturing military equipment. It was after the war that Yamaha turned its production towards motorcycles, with the YA-1 appearing in 1955.
Since then, Yamaha has continued to evolve, distinguishing itself in the field of sport motorcycles, such as the RD 500LC, capable of reaching 217 km/h. Yamaha motorcycles have also won numerous competitions in Japan and Europe.
Yamaha produces scooters and motorcycles of all types, from cruisers to sport bikes and off-road models, as well as snowmobiles, boats, and engines, while maintaining a strong presence in the world of music.
