GILERA

Giuseppe Gilera is a builder of Italian motorbike, he created the Gilera brand in 1909. 

Mr. Gilera is an inventor with a big innovation which is the motor at 4 cylinder in 1950 through the help of another ingeneer named Pietro Remord. 

In 1957, Gilera decide to stop the competition despite of 44 victories to the International Grand prix. 

In 1969, the business group Piaggio buy back Guilera. 

After, the Piaggio group will be placed on road motorbike and cross-country. 

In the years of 80, Piaggio come back on motorbike to big cylinder with motors of 350 and 500 cm³ for trail bike in four time before to pass on motors of 600 and 700 cm³.

In 1991, Gilera release a new model named CX 125 which look like to the futurist appearance especially through his lenticular wheel. 

Finally, in 1993 Piaggio decide to close Guilera firm but the brand will stay in the scooter world.
