CAN-AMCan-Am is a Canadian society made by Mr. Joseph-Armand Bombardier. Also, he have the first machine to run on the snow.
Joseph-Armand Bombardier continue his production of all-terrain vehicle during some years but, one day, his business will be reselled by an Austrian business named Rotax.
This business allow to Joseph-Armand to see far away than his production of motorbike, snow vehicle. Or, at the beginning, in 1971 with his motorbike models named Can-Am which win some medals for the International Prize of Six Days Trial.
Then, in 1974, the motorbikes land places for the AMA motocross 250 championship.
In 1973, Can-Am decide to market a Trail 2-T 175 cm³ named TnT.
Can-Am tested also the ground with the speed to admit the quality of his motors.
In 1973, a prototype with a motor 125 cm³ will be tested. This prototype outclassed with a speed of 218 km/h.
Seeing that their tests will be good, Joseph-Armand decided that Can-Am brand don't need to be a priority for him. In 1983, they decided entrust the production of the brand to an english firm named CCM.
In 1987, it's the end of the Can-Am production.
But, in 2006, the Can-Am brand rise with quads and SSV.
In 2007, the Can-Am spyder will become important through of its capacity to be drive by person without motorcycle licence.
Over the years, more than 100 000 Can-Am spyder models be maded.
