PIAGGIOPiaggio is an Italian business created in 1884 by Rinaldo Piaggio. Originally, Rinaldo Piaggio builded boats and rail transportation.
At the end of the Second World War, Mr Piaggio get into scooters with Piaggio Mp5 Paperoni.
In 1953, Piaggio brand celebrate its 500 000 Vespa.
In 1959, Fiat hold control of Piaggio.
The business is passed from hand to hand untill 2005.
In 1969 it's the Guilera brand which take the brand over.
In 1981, it's a Milanese builder named Bianchi which take the helm.
Then, there is the Austrian builder Puch in 1987.
In 2001, it's the Derbi brand which take over.
After, it's Mr Roberto Colaninno with his IMMSI S.P.A business.
To finish, we have Aprilia which buy Piaggio back to Mr Colannio.
In 2006, Piaggio invent the first scooters with three wheels.
In 2009, the brand release their first hybrid scooters.
To finish, in 2016, Piaggio created an electrical scooter.
