SIMSONThe Simson brand is a German brand created in 1856, in Suhl by Lob and Moses Simson.
It's in 1896 that the brand made his first bicycle, then car in 1907.
During the Great Depression, the company sales fall.
During the Second World War, the company became an important center of weapon of war production.
At the end of the war, Simson take the fabrication over of motorbike and bicycle.
In 1968, Simson merge with VEB Ernst-Thälmann-Werk Suhl to form the VEB Fahrzeug-und Jagdwaffenwerk Ernst Thälmann Suhl.
The company will be selled after the reunification. The oldest manager and employees of Simson create Suhler Fahrzeugwerke GmbH in November 1991.
One year after, the production go back over with the Simson brand.
It's in February 2003 that the company will stop his production.
