BMW

Brand
BMWBMW was founded in 1916 by Gustav Otto and Karl Fredich Rapp in Germany. At the time, they produced aircraft engines. It was after the war that he turned to motorcycle engines.
In 1923, the first BMW motorcycle, the flat-twin, appeared, which despite a high selling price was a great success. BMW will excel in competitions thanks to these sporty motorcycles.
During the Second World War, BMW was hit hard by Allied bombing. The plant was then hit by a ban on the construction of motorized means of transport, thus preventing any restart of motorcycle production. Production resumed in 1948.
Soon they will produce the R24, a 250cc single-cylinder that will be sold in Germany and abroad. Then will be the R25, which still holds the record for the best-selling model by BMW.
Over the years BMW will continue to produce more and more powerful models. The company will continue to improve the performance of these models, including Esa-driven suspensions and anti-skating.
In 2006, BMW produced more than 100,000 motorcycles for the first time.
Although the brand retains high-priced models, which are even more pronounced because of the options purchased, BMW models appeal and sell. This is the strength of the European manufacturer that has endured over the years.
